Swaybars

In the market for swaybars, which are the best ones to get and why? Are any ones specifically harder to install than others.

this has been discussed so many times, you should do a search on the subject and you will see many threads about it.

most people here have the comptech sways, including me. i love the new sways, it helps handing tremendously. but it's not the thickest out there. i believe the neuspeed is the thickest, and if you want more info you can ask edgalang about it.

and btw, don't ask which one is the best. no one can answer you at all. at least i can tell you i have comptech and it's great

Don't thicker sway bars cause the car to feel more jittery when driving straight down the highway? I believe the flex of the chassis actually helps maintain that "plush" feel when cruising.

Doesnt seem like it. Maybe if I had 19s on, but with the stock 17s it just feels stiffer. I'd assume lowering springs or stiffer shocks would be alot more noticable then thicker sways when going straight. If I can make the chassis even stiffer than it already is (add lower font and rear tie bars) then I'd do that as well. Lowering the car for me is what I dont think is worth it since I scrape my front lip without the springs to begin with. Personally I'd rather have my tires and springs/shocks do most of the cussioning for me rather than the body. But I digress, are we talking about chassis flex or sways?

Well, that's good to hear. I'm thinking of starting out with a set of H&R OE springs (3/4 in. drop all around, just nice) and Comptech sways. I'm more interested in handling mods than performance or appearance items right now... I'll definitely get wider wheels and better tires when the standard Michelins wear out in a couple of years.

yeah from what i know sways would produce minimal effect on jittery ride. i believe springs and shocks have much more effect on that. so don't worry too much about sways dave, it's a must for handling and besides handling i'd say braking is very important for our cars too, it's tooooooooo soft now
