Sway Bar Video Comparison completed!!!

Finally the before and after video comparison of my car with sway bars is completed!!! It was fairly crappy weather out again today, but had enough time without rain to take some videos and put together my final video.

There is still body roll, as you'll see on the video, however it is less pronounced (see the included pictures) and the feel of the car during cornering is vastly improved. I've been able to take corners faster, and perform emergency manuevers with much more confidence. The car feels much more planted to the road with the sway bars when cornering, and I highly recommend the bars.

Enjoy the videos, hopefully this helps some people!! Feel free to ask me any questions you want as well.

These are the two pictures that I show at the end of the movie. Little easier to take a longer look by posting them here. hope it works, my regular hosting site is currently down it seems.

Great vid(s)!! Thanks so much for taking the time to film, edit, and post them up! I definitely see a difference, and I can only imagine how they must feel.

I was thinking about the XS headers as my next mod, but I think I'm definitley going to do the sways first.

Thanks again!

great job, dude. I don't plan on doing this...I don't even have a 2GTL, but I certainly do appreciate all the effort you put into the video, etc. posrep for your trouble. The car looks good, too.

The headers are great, but in everyday driving I feel the effects of the sways waaaaay more. Every time I corner.

Glad the video seems to be a success, was kinda fun putting it together!

Still a little roll, but not bad, and the transitions between turns is much smoother and quicker. The feel of the car is awsome!!!

Very nice, I'm looking at suspension as my next addition to my car and I'd be interested in seeing some videos and photos of that. When you take them if ya need a hand doing some editing I'd be happy to help, I've kinda gotten the hang of movie editing.

For a suspension video comparison, I'd be interested in seeing hard launches and stops before and after to see how the nose dive and squatting is reduced with suspension. This of course in addition to some cornering videos.

One more comparison picture, I think this one shows the reduction in body roll more accurately.

Thought this might be of interest too - found this photo of an M3 online (without the red line drawn in of course). The red line I drew in parallel to my bumper in the shot of my car cornering after adding the sways, then I copied the same line onto the BMW. Body roll is nearly identical for the two cars. Just thought it was a cool comparison.

I think Mazda put it best at their drive event last year: "A happy tire is a squeeling tire." Good motto I think
