Suspension noise

I drove our 94 Accord today and when I went over a speed bump, the front suspension was making a loud clicking noise when i went up and again when i went down. Do i need new shocks or struts?

It could be the shock hitting the bump stop..Does the clicking occur on turns too? if so, it could be the CV joint, that would need to be replaced...have it looked at..
