Suspension Help

So trying to get things taken care of while the cash flow is decent. 99 TL has 120k miles. was thinking of changing the ball joints out, but wanted to know what else i should be changing while i'm replacing them. There pretty cheap on rockauto but didnt know what bushings on other parts in thata area or other items i should get replaced while i'm in there.

Are the ball joints worn out? I'm all for periodic maintenance but have you done a timing belt, valve adjustment and plugs? Do the things that need to be maintained first and any thing that has worn out.

Yeah, gotta agree with above. Prioritize your PM and the money available.

If you're unsure of what needs replaced in the front suspension or general under-carriage of your car..... I'd suggest taking it to a reputable local mechanic who has a rack available to fully inspect and evaluate your car's potential problem areas. Many times, the cost of this inspection will be waived if ya have some repairs performed by the shop. Otherwise. have them write up a detailed analysis of anything that may require attention, along with an estimate of costs involved with the repairs. Then pick & choose what ya can DIY.

Only thing i haven't done is the valve adjustment, could have sworn i read somewhere not to adjust unless noisy, please correct me if i'm wrong. Rest of the maintenance has already been done.

Just got a little scared as had a co-worker ball joints break while driving to work got me thinking if its something i should replace now, or if it can wait till tax time. Cause i saw the strut comes off as well during install of ball joints and i wanted to change springs and struts anyway.
