Is this suppose to happen?
MY D5 light comes on with my Park light when I turn my key to ACC mode. when my car is in Park. But the D5 light switches off after like a second. I'm not sure if its suppose to do that but I find it awkward. Also my CEL light blinks about 5 times after about 5 seconds and turns off when I'm in ACC mode. When I start the car everything is normal.

My CEL and VSA light was on after I seafoamed but it turned off after I reset my ECU. Then when I was going for a spirited ride, the CEL light started blinking when I when into vtec on 2nd gear but went off after the car shifted into 3rd. No CEL lights or anything after that and I went into Vtec after that too. No blinking D5 light either and the car shifts very good.

Im a litle confused on your seafoam procedure--did an ecu reset after foam was put in but before the spirited drive?
what method were you following anyway? how close to the diy?
got the engine warm first, foamed, waited 10 minutes- start- let stabilize, as it clears out and runs better- drive more spritedly 10 minutes,a few blast into vtec etc

Some member on Azine did it for me. It took me like 2 hours to drive to him so the engine was warm by then. Then foamed thru vac port reved a little and then let idle for a while for everything to clear out. After it was clear I changed my spark plugs and oil. I wanted to go for a spirited ride first but he said it was ok and he was smart so I went along with it. My spark plugs were really dirty. Then I drove for a little and then went into vtec about 10 times. I couldn't put seafoam in my gas tank cause I didn't have a funnel long enough.

also, which i'm sure 01tl4tl will chime in about, your car got seafoamed ...they revved it & let it idle for a while...then turned it off to change the plugs & oil? then went on spirited drive after all that?

so no blow out drive was performed after seafoam was done- ok - that person is not as smart as you -or they- believe
he guaranteed loading/fouling of the plugs and O2 sensor, and not the best results from seafoam--which likes HEAT to work at its best
Please read the diy and repeat it yourself- first time foamers should repeat in a month to get it really clean, then good for a year/15
basically he didnt want the car hot and have to change the spark plugs
since you should not do them when its hot--aluminum heads are easily damaged
in gas tank- at a tick under half tank = 8 gallons- slowly pour seafoam into gas cap opening- watch as it goes in and disappears,,,adjust pouring rate.
2 oz per gal is cleaning strength doseage and will help make up for the poor job done before
In addition that method cleans the injectors, fuel rails and lines from the tank to the piston-
vac port doesnt go to the fuel line parts so gas method is needed for full job
It can be used alone- gets results but takes longer
When done thru vac port the results are instant
