i just graduated from college. i am 23. and i just started my first job. i work at a honda store. and i just bought MY first car...a 2000 acura tl. i was wondering if there is a SUPERCHARGER out there for it? i am looking into comptech headers and exhaust and an injen intake as well.

 

nope..no supercharger for the normal tl..only for the type-s...and you know....if you were planning to put a supercharger on it....it would have been cheaper to just buy a type-s....cause a supercharged tl would be similar to the type-s

 

Agree. Why put a SC on a 2000TL where you could pretty much spend the same amount of dollars to get a TLS with the same hp (2000TL+SC) and more stylist.

You can probably custom fit an accord v6 SC or even the CLS/TLS CT SC.

The supercharger comes with its own special intake so scratch the injen. If I were you I would get a 3.5l upgrade it will be about the same amount of money a supercharger and it will give you more power low and high...

hmm...the 3.5 liter up grade would net the same final hp on the tlp and tls would it not?...since you replace most of what made the tls engine make more hp then the tlp?....also..wher ecan i read aobut the 3.5l upgrade?

I second Mr . By all means contact Dean at V.R. They have done all my mods and blower install. I went to the track 2 days ago and went 13.95 in the 1/4 mile - well worth it. V.R. has done both the 3.5 upgrade and the 3.2 w. supercharger. Both packages are very impressive.
Actually if you can, do both 3.5w. blower.:wow:

 

Regarding the 3.5L upgrade, what's better with the upgrade? Are you still using the stock head with the RL block or replacing the motor all together? I thought the 3.5L RL only maxes at 225hp?

The block is the 3.5 and the heads would the tl-s heads(V-Tech).
With headers, exhaust and ice box and maybe a few other tweeks the results is in the 305-315 hp range. That package with a blower/supercharger could easily net 400-425 hp.
