The sunroof on the '03 TLS doens't tilt open as far as I would like. Has anyone modded to widen the tilt opening another inch or so?

 

whoa.. i thought the tilt was enough on it.. if it goes up anymore, wouldnt it just look weird? its gonna be so high off the roof... and wouldnt the makers have had a reason to make it open just that much?

 

there was a thread about this a few months ago that discussed this.. im not sure if anyone found a soulution tho.. try a search u might come up with somthing useful

 

i know the mitsu sunroofs tilt up and then go back, that would be kinda cool :P

 

My sunroof only tilts about 2 inches. Is that normal? Its not like I want the thing vertical!

 

thats usually used on cars that dont have enough room for it to slide back under the roof....imo, wouldn't look good on a tl. not to mention it would be a shitload of $ to do something like that

 

heh.. alot of cars do that.. but yeah like alpswd said.. its only for cars that dont have room for the sunroof to slide in.. alot of coupes have it. (rsx, celica, eclipse..)

and yeah.. all of them goes up about 2-3inches.. and its pretty normal. when you look from outside it looks pretty high as is.

iut goes up about 1.5-2"

on my jetta it went up 3 inches

another inch would be nice

 

with that design it won't sacrific the limited headroom, just becoz a small car doesn't have much headroom to clear so they do it that way

RSX, Pontiac Grand Prix has the same design too

that's why u see TL's headroom isn't too gd

but that way will drag more wind
