I put silicone on mine (black magic, etc, for making your tires black and shiney).... worked like a charm. Every now and then I have to put more on, but it beats the hell out of going to the dealer. I usually do it once a month. But I havn't had a squeak out of it for monthes now.

Thanks for yours replies, but If I decide to fix it myself, do someone knows if I need to take of head liner to fix sunroof shade rattle and if yes is it hard do it and what are the steps of taking off headliner?

Wait a sec guys, He may not be talking about the infamous sunroof rattle. He is referring to the sunshade rattling. Please clarify what exactly is the problem. The sunroof rubber surround squeaks against the body of the car at the roof opening. There is a service bulletin at Acura to fix this fix clear teflon tape around the opening. The tape is invisible (like sctoch tape, only this stuff is made of teflon).
However, there is also a sunshade rattle that i get at times, and i found that is goes away if you push the sunshade all the way back open. When the sunshade is closed, and then you open the sunroof, the sunshade automatically opens too. But i found that it doesnt go all the way to its farthest open position that way. there is about another 1 or 2 inches of travel that you can manual push it back and it seems to lock in place when you do that.

Yes, I am actually talking about sunshade rattle.
I will be driving tomorrow and will try to open it manually and up to the end. Will see what happen, maybe this will stop that CRAZY sunshade rattle... Thanks for your reply

After having this problem ever since owning an '89 Prelude, I found on my '01 TL the best 'fix' is opening the sunshade ALMOST all the way open - stop about three inches before it's fully open.
Anything wider than that and it seems to loosen up and thus rattle.

I think I have the same problem, I already went to the dealer and did the tape, and I still can't find the rattle. The only time that I find that the rattle goes away is when the sunroof is closed. Has anyone else had this problem?
