This Sucks

Wassup fellow acura lovers I'm new here. I have a pearl white 2003 tl type s, that i just got out of the body shop for a fender bender. Now this past weekend i got hit again, but this time the radiator broke, the HIDs are destoyed, and the air bags came out. To make things worse i have to pay out of pocket, I was suppost to get insurance on monday, damn this sucks . Any suggestions on how much this will cost me. I should have pics from the body shop by Tue.

if u got hit that person should be paying u. if u hit them i guess thats y you are paying out of pocket? Air bags alone put you over $1000, headlights if its bulbs and everything are gonna be up there too , with labor i would say you're looking at atleast $2500 and thats even low especially if anything needs to be painted or bodywork.

correct me if I'm wrong. you were going to get insurance today? so you were driving without insurance at the time of the accident? imo, the other driver can nail you for not having insurance.

Man...next time always catch or try to catch the Driver's License plate . =\ Because if they do a hit and run...and you have no license plate or anything..your going to be spending BIG MOOLAH On ur car.

I know this is somewhat off the subject but if the car did not stop, how did you know it was stolen?

Good question...replacing radiator, right HID, and hood cost me $5000, along with bumper cover and all that.

I was wondering about the insurance too. Did you or did you not have any insurance at the time of accident?

Something real fishy with this story if you ask me.

1. Why drive a $25K+ car without insurance
2. How you know the car is stolen when it didn't stop
3. Oh, welcome to the board.

You will expect to get some tongue lashings, but it's all meant to help you and others avoid this type of situation. Accidents happen, but driving without insurance is 110% preventable. You sure you didn't crash your ride yourself?

Sorry, but looks like you need to set up a lemonade stand in hell without insurance footin the bill. Good luck!

For the record if the airbags come out, the car is not automatically totalled. Only if the cost of repairs exceeds the present value of the car and thats a fact, look it up if u don't believe this Newark boy.......1

and movie aside how do you absolutley know for a fact that the car was stolen...just cuz that movie came out doesn't mean the car that "hit" was stolen.

(felt like brushing up on typing skills).....dunno, but your story seems real messed up.....anyway it IS going to be $4500+......HIDs and airbags are expensive.....then there's radiator and hood, bumper, painting, all that crap.....its gonna be expensive.

erm yeah, so if you DIDN'T have insurance @ time of accident, a 4 year old kid in a stolen car could've hit you, it's still your fault........(or the other way around).....

let's see if he can clear up the story....

I hope it all works for you.....but bro somethings are just not adding up...why would you drive without any insurance...if you did get hit...Normally insurance will pick up the tab...UNLESS you did not have any insurance. my car was parked a while back when someone hit it and took off...Made a police report and insurance covered it. Oh and welcome aboard.

To all non-believers, the car was going down a one way. I was crossing over that one way. As he crossed over I hit the side of his car, but since he crossed the intersection from the wrong way then it should be his fault, if he stopped or if I had ins. There thats the full story.

then maybe youre better off that, that guy did not stop since you have no insurance. if he did, then the police wouldve got involved. since you have no insurance, then you wouldve got nailed for that. good luck in getting your car fixed.

When you insure a car they will always do an inspection to see that it's not already damaged, so that idea won't work.

Beyond that - it's insurance fraud. There's no need to make a small accident into a felony.

yeah, but you are in Canada, maybe it is different up there, but I know for sure that down here when you buy insurance they always inspect your car first.
