damn i just noticed that my 2002 tl-s didnt come with a "red imobilizer key" like my 98 prelude sh. this key is used incase you lose your master key. all you do is use the red key in the ignition and it renders the current keys useless by way of reseting the code. then you can go to the dealer and get a new key and code. that suck i called the dealer and they said tl's dont come with it. how cheap is that?!?!

i dont think we would need that... i mean its only effective if u lose ur keys rite? and ohw many times do u guys lose car keys? (keys to ur baby!!)
and plus by not having this feature it cuts production costs too... not a neccessary equipment in my opionion

What would happen if you do lose your key to TL.
Would the dealership re-program the ECU to accept a new key code?
Or do you just hope that whoever finds your key doesn't know where your car is?

Yep its easy to reprogram a key, and when you program 2 sets it automatically renders any previous keys as invalid. The dealer cut some additional keys for me and I played with the programming at home.
