I still have my stock bose system and i love it but i want just a tiny bit more "boom" .. has anybody changed out their sub and kept the bose speakers? or do you think that defeats the purpose and i should change the whole system.. i have the base TL no Navi.

 

I remember back in the days some people retrofitting a shallow mount subwoofer (like the ones used in single cab pickups?).. It seemed to work alright in the stock sub placement.. I would get a complete add-on-system (amp, box and sub) instead but it will take some trunk space, it really depends on your budget and needs.
