Smile Stutter on Startup, seen the other threads

I know there are threads out there on this already. Recently it stutters on startup and once it stuttered out and stalled on me twice in a parking lot on startup.

I'm thinking fuel pump. The mechanic noticed the tank was on empty one time and said never to let that happen. I had already let it happen too many times.

Or a tune up? Although everything was done on time with this car, but plugs definitely more than 30-40k.

I will try letting it pressurize as suggested. Problem is getting worse.

Thanks again guys

30-40 on the plugs not to bad.

Do some basic maintenance.
1. Run a can of seafoam through the gas tank.
2. Check or clean egr valve and ports.
3. Check and or replace spark plugs.

Might just be something gunked up. Do some simple diagnosis before any major repair.

Mine was doing this recently. Replaced the valve cover & spark plug gaskets (they were leaking a bit already) & cleaned out the almost completely clogged EGR passages.
Working great now & got a MPG boost as well.

Might have a clogged IACV (Pretty easy to clean).. I will recommend a full tune-up: IACV, EGR and MANIFOLD cleaning. you will basically get a new car

If that doesn't work, have the fuel pressure checked.

Mine started doing it again yesterday. Think I have a faulty coil. Only does it after a couple on/off cycles in a relatively short period. Ran to the bank for work then dropped off a bill, went to leave the office & CEL returned with stumbling idle.
Need to chase down which coil(s) is at fault.
