i hate the brakes on the TL. i have never seen a car with so many brake problems. TL BRAKES SUCK!!!!! they're so fuckin weak.

the rotors were replaced like 4 times cuz they warped.. i bought rotora rotors (4) and was fine for a while.. then like a month ago they started warping and they are now "officially" warped.. you can really feel the vibration.. on top of that, those fucking axxis ultimates, the ultimate dust pads, are desintegrating!! the rear, driver side pad is completly shot, it's rusting and falling apart, there's nothing left on it and the metal is eating my rotor, so i will have to get new rotors all around (front 2, could get only 1 rear but will get 2 to even everything out.)

im getting my rear EBC green pads installed this afternoon before the pad falls off the caliper... the shop didnt get the front set yet so i'll have to wait..

im storing my car for winter so after winter i will make sure to take care of those shitty brakes. 4 new rotors, new pads all around, SS lines, and ill take off all the calipers and clean everything, sandblast them to take off all the shit, and paint them gloss black. new brake fluid, etc.. hopefully that will do the job.....

wow.....and you wanted me to get the axxis ultimates....Hope you have better luck with the EBC.

 

yeah i thought they were good at first... but now, FUCK 'EM!!

 

like i always said the AXXIS SUCK and the green stuff are the way to go!

 

what the hell are you doing with your car. true the TL stock brakes arent as good as a sports cars, but c'mon man, ur driving a heavy 4 door car. This is not a 350Z.

Take it easy and maybe you wont have so many problems. I haven't had one brake problem to date.

 

you shouldnt have to take it easy. i dont and i dont have any problems. i have done way more than you would believe 140+ to 0 stops and have no issues with my brakes other than the AXXIS pads SUCK

 

I am really happy with my Hawk HPS pads but i think i will try the ebc greenstuff next time just to see what all the hype is about

hawk and EBC are pretty much the same, both excellent, but i luv my EBC.

 

i am very gentle when it comes to braking. weak brakes is a known issue for the TL.


oh btw, i got EBC Green installed in the rear today.. and replaced both rear calipers cuz they were shot...

 

i'm really surprised....my TL's brakes are amazing....never had vibration, i actually told dealer that they were vibrating, and they cut all the rotors and changed all the pads.....suprisingly......BUT...next time i'm getting EBCs.

 

Brakes on the TL are absolute SHIT. i've heard good things about Brembo Slotted/Drilled Rotors. i'm going to be getting 2 up front soon, will let you know how it works out.
