Question Strut tower bar question

Are there any modifications that will have to be done to the hood in order to fit the front strut bar in?
Is it an addition to the one already under the hood, or will than one have be taken out?
Is the cost worth it if Comptech sways are already installed?
Any info would be appreciated.

Dan

The Neuspeed front upper strut tie bar is an add in piece. It fits in right behind the stock tie bar. One of the easiest cheapest mods for handling IMO.

I will say get it because it does make a slight difference and also it looks good. It is a very cheap mod and easy to install. Here is a pic of my chrome strutbar.

Hey that's my car.

The strut bar, along with springs and sways, oh and the new tires, make my car stick to the road.

The installation is very simple but you MAY need to jack up one end of the car and loosen all 5 or 6 bolts so the bar will fit. No big deal. The upper strut works great WITH sways.

Is it something that a non mechanical person can install. i know a fair amount about cars but am typically a fool when it comes to the mechanics of them. Is it really just bolt on? Do i have to crawl under the car at all or just loosen the two bolts on each side?

No underneath the car crap. Just loosen the two nuts on each side and install. Like I said before, there is a chance it may not fit. All you have to do is jack on side of the car up and loosen all the nuts and install the bar. After that, just toghten all the nuts and you are ready to go.

It's literally a 10 minute job. Four nuts on the shock tower, pop it on, tighten up the nuts and drive......

Anyone have a helms manual that can tell us what to foot pounds to re-torque the nuts to?

It doesn't tell you. You can check to see what the nuts are currently torqued to.
