stripped.
stripped.
like many other i've read...hex key on the end link was rusted and stripped on me and I cannot get this thing off for the life of me. what did you guys use to cut this thing off with...or if you have another suggestion, at this point I'm about to try shooting it...
Got you covered as the same thing happened to me.
On the back side of the bar you can grab the shoulder that the rubber boot wraps around with a vice-grip. You will destroy the boot but if you are replacing the link who cares?
Clamp it down tight and off it comes. Use a vice-grip brand plier as off-brands tend to have a wider jaw and may not fit between the bar and the ball.
Good luck

I used a Dremel tool with a cutoff wheel and it worked fine.
You should be able to pull the "cup" off the ball fairly easily (pry it) and then hold the ball with a vice grip instead of using the now stripped allen; that is what I did for two of them.
