Strange Noise coming from Vent

Strange Noise coming from Vent
I am noticing a sound coming from either behind or below my middle passenger air vent. At first I thought an animal had found its way into my vent air intake, but the "rolling around" sound (kinda like an acorn) has stayed random for the last several months. I have removed my ventilation filter and cleaned out behind it, as well as removed my air fan and cleaned it. The random sound persists and is most notable at red lights. Nothing seems to trigger the sound that i can detect. But it is coming from what sounds like below the air bag, or slightly to the left of that. Again, the sound is not a constant noise, only random...like a trapped animal or ball. Changing the air speed only masks the problem. Any ideas??
Thanks!

No ideas, but I am experiencing similar problems. Sounds like a rattling sound from a roulette table, but not as loud. Turning up the fan masks the sounds, as does puttin the radio on. It only happens occasionally. Anyone found a fix for this? Please help us.

I had a problem that made a noise like marbles in my vents, mostly when i had the fans on, but eventually made the noise when the fans were off.
My acura dealership knew what it was simply from the description i gave them.
They replaced the climate control panel, and the fans as well (i think). anyway, since then, the noise went away.
I'll try looking for the service receipt for that particular repair so I can give you details as to what they replaced.
I'll post it once i find it.
Hope this helps

Concern: Check blower - makes ticking noise (sounds more like marbles in the vent) when set above 72 degrees (although it pretty much made the noise throughout the temperature band)
Cause: Faulty AC Control Panel and Mix Motor
Correction: Replaced AC Control Panel, Replaced Air Mix Motor
Definitely fixed the problem... hope this helps!

How long did it take for them to fix it? I'm assuming that it was under warranty? I bought my car in Raleigh, NC and now live in VA. Will the local Acura dealerships do the warranty work without any hassles up here? I've got a little over 40K miles, so I'm under the 5 year 50K limit. What do I need to bring them, if anything? I've never brought a car in for warranty work before, so I would just like to know the procedure. Thanks!

the work was covered under warrranty for my car... don't see any reason why it wouldn't be covered for yours...

Thanks for all the help! I have 63K on my car so the warranty is no longer in effect. I'll have to either try and fix it myself, or give in and pay the dealer.
Thanks anyway!
