My 03 TL-S AM runs great, looks great, has 34K on it, and I have but one small problem.

When I leave work at lunch or at the end of the day, I hop on business I-40 into Winston, 45MPH speed limit. After about 4-5 miles of driving, while in 5th gear, the engine falters, misses, and then everything is fine.

Every doggone day, the same miss at the same place on the same highway.

Maybe it's some transition from choke setting to non-choke setting from the computer to the TB. Maybe it's fouled plugs or injectors. Maybe it's the mid-grade gas I buy (although I tried premium, with the same result).


Anybody out there experience this also, and anyone have any ideas? It's not life -threatening, but it's irritating.

if its at the same place in the highway everyday, possibly somthing to do with the highway

try driving in 4th instead of 5th. It may be because it wants to go to 5th but its too slow and thats what your feeling.
