Post Stop (or slow) Headlight and Tailight Theft!

Someone tried to jack my TL-S's headlights last night (see other thread). The car already has VIN etching on its windows. When it comes back from the body shop, I'm going to have the VIN etched on the headlights, tail lights, and fogs - right in the center where, if it's scratched out, the lights will be f***-ed up and useless to the thief. If it can be done, I’m going to have the HID module etched also. I’m also going to get business card sized notes made up to leave on the car’s headlights when I park it letting the potential thief know that the parts are traceable. Based on what I've learned from this experience about the number of headlights being jacked, all of you in Metro areas might want to consider doing this too. If enough TL/CL owners do this, maybe potential thieves will move on to Lexus' and Infiniti's to do their headlight mod shopping for those ratty, riced-out Civic's and Corolla's.

Hey, it might not be perfect but at least I feel like I’m fighting back and not just a helpless victim…
