Stolen lights on the 2002 Maximas

A friend of my just got his headlights stolen. He just got the car last week. The dealership said they had about 30 cars since last month with there headlights stolen.

The difference with Maximas is it's the other 5th generation Maxima owners that are ripping them off. Unlike ours, where the thieves want just the bulb and ballast (and put the components in their own housing in almost any car), the 2002 generation Maxima HIDs are an *exact* drop-in replacement for the 2000-2001 Maxima halogen lights, including housing.

I think it would make it that much more frustrating if fellow TLers and CLers were ripping off the lights from each other, which is what the Maxima guys now face.

But the TL and CL bulbs are stolen because of it's easy integration into Accords. Is it?
