Kinda of a Bold statement there and I hope you PM me if you know who did it because I know for sure the Admins of this board will not tolerate this kind of activity....
On another note, that is kinda cool your house is sound proof...
Best Wishes

99 TL
Headlights cost $1270 pair
Total cost to fix car $3900 = r & l fender, bumper, hood, plus head lights.
Just for a damn inverter, igniter & hid bulb (which is all they need, not the casing/lamp)
Total $1100 pair
Do the math, they will sell it back for about $600. What's wrong here?
$3900 worth of damage for about $600 profit and chance of getting caught . Not worth it.

Can we mod the headlights - extend the wiring and move the inverter and ignitor further back into the engine bay? Yeah they'll still probably jack up the car getting in, but at least it'll screw with them and they'll have to search a lot longer and maybe not get what they want. :sqntfawk:

its worthelss though, if it ever happens to you, you'll still have all the body dammage and you shoulnt give a damm because the insurance (hopefully you got one) will pay for it wether the headlights are there or not you see :sqnteek: ?

I checked my car out today at the shop. They finished putting in the new headlights and everything else. They just got to get my tires. My baby looks real nice and clean (I got the car a complete buff & detail), but I just do not feel the same pride about my car.
I can not complain it looks good though. They painted the complete nose of the car (hood, fenders & bumper). My car never needed a paint job before this all happened so I do not feel any better that it has this fresh clean paint job.
Just one thing is troubling me. I do not know if it is me, but to me, the lights do not look as white as they did before. Can someone tell me if the hid bulbs need to "break in".I forgot to mention that to the autoshop, but I will ask them on monday when I pick the car up. Our tls' were never as bright as say the bmws' & audi's but to me is not that white at all and I know that the headlights are oem from the dealer, I saw him take it out the box and put them in. It just seems strange. If someone know about these hids let me know!
Anyway I will keep you guys posted.
