does anybody know from the top of their heads if a stock IS would beat a stock TL-P?

IS300 is nothing without mods... the tl-p is 225hp and the is300 is only 215hp.. it would all depend on the better driver IMO.

1/4mile? top end? what do you mean? i think that in the 1/4mile ,it would be close but on highway TL will win!

actually, they both have the same times regardless of power and weight differences and RWD/FWD difference...better driver or the firstone to hit the gas will win...

Of course...if you got a '99 stock your done.

I beat a IS300 by 1 car form redlight to the end of 2st gear(about 110km),twice.

Same topic but different car,yesterday a friend of mine with his 2001 Infinty I30t and I(00 TL-P)lined up and went for it for "shits and giggles",we were at a red light and when the light turned green he launched (he kept his revs at 2000 for the launch)so i gave him about half a second before i "gradually" accelerated , by this time he had me by a car,
at the end of first gear he was half a car ahead, second kicks in i start catching up
and by the time i was in third ,i had him,I was 2 cars ahead of him and kept pulling hard
by witch time he gave up! He had an extra person in the car(wich is why i gave him the half sec head start).
