Stock vs. SRI vs. CAI vs. Icebox

Hello everyone,

Of course I started off w/ the Stock airbox (responsive and quiet) and then I decided to put the AEM CAI on (cold air - was not very responsive when putting the pedal down and the power was good but it was loud).

So I ordered Comptech's IceBox and while waiting I decided to take off the air bypass and put the air filter in it's place and use it as a SRI (short ram). Once again, this was very loud! The power was o.k!

The STOCK airbox felt much better than both the CAI and SRI!

I installed Comptech's ICEBOX last night and WOW :wow:! Nice silent power.... very gentle power and SMOOTH from gear to gear!!!

If you don't have an ICEBOX... save up, go to ebay or order right from this site RIGHT NOW. You won't regret it!

No power from cold air? Maybe you needed to reset the ECU or something. When i just had a Cold air, i ran a stock airbox guy and pulled on him by a car or so. Then a few months back 2 cl-s, 1 with ice box and and one with cold air ran each other and the cold air killed the ice box everytime especially off the line.
