quick question: my tips are chrome but the area directly behind it [the big rectangular box thingie...axleback? (forgive me for being a newb )] is a dull black. is the entire stock exhaust supposed to be chrome or just the tip? the dull black looks like sh*t...

just the tip, unless you buy the gold kit, then the tip is, duh, gold.

if you really don't like the way it looks, buy the Comptech exhausts. Click the pic in my sig for pictures of it (before and after).

Just the tip. After a few months/years depending on how often you drive the dull black coating will begin to chip away causing it to look even worse.

 

that should be fixed under warranty by the dealer if it happens though...

 

Clean them well and use some epoxy flat black to spray them - take you one-half hour, tops- the stuff is very durable. Even if the dealer agrees to do it, they won't use epozy paint and the problem will likely recur.
