Stinks like gas on a cold start.
Something I've always noticed about my and not any others that ive had. When start is up and let it idle on a cold engine the it really starts to smell like gas from the mufflers... Obviously this a product of alot gas being shot out the back and not being turned into precious energy.
Anyone else notice this? I have not so great city fuel economy and short trips really decimate my MPGs. However long highway trips but around 30mpg (and thats averaging like 80mph). Could it be tune up time? Im about to hit 90k so figure my plugs are on their last legs, what else can/should I about this?

it wil do that when cold because the engine is cold
because its cold the ecu will have to compensate for the colder, denser air. ideal air/fuel radio is 14.7 o2 to 1 part fuel. but when the engine is started cold, because theres more compact o2 molecues, the ecu is forced to richen up the mixture. if it didnt, would lean out the mixture, and the engine would stall.
