stiff shiftgate?

i did a search and nothing came up with nothing. my shifter is stiff only when its cold out. you really have to pull down hard to get to R or D5. after you drive and the car is fully warmed up, its back to normal when shifting back to park or any other gears. anyone else come across this problem?

Thats what i would ask. Has any thing ever been spilled in that area. You may need to take the console apart and clean the shifter up and regrease things.

spilled drinks will also short out the shifter circuit senders units- 3 of them are located underneath a plate below the shifter handle
The only moving mechanical parts are at the handle- the rest is electronic signals- no connection between trans and shifter handle

theres a shifter cable? oops- hope thats my last mistake for the year dededeeee
I thought we were fly by wire on the trans signals-
why does it use the 3 electronic sensors for shift `request` by driver?
Dealer wanted 700 to replace mine so I sprayed crc electronic cleaner with a straw everywhere I could get it- getting stuck in SS mode problem solved

you mean in SS, cause one is to up shift, an other to down shift, and the third is to proably tell when it is in SS
