Stiff gear selector

Ok, so the weather here is cooling off...it's been a chilly 60 degrees or so (don't be jealous). My shifter is very stiff though, it's kind of freaking me out. I don't remember it being like this ever before, and I did a 3x drain and fill on tranny fluid a month or so ago so that should be good fluid. Once the car is warmed up the gear select is fine and smooth like normal, but it's very stiff..why would that be? It's not THAT cold (most of you probably don't think 60 is cold at all!). The car seems to shift like normal, btw.
