I linked up with Giovanni and ResidualFreedom this weekend and we were talking about forming a GTA TL club and making a sticker for the small window on the back doors

things to think about......
1. name? Club TL (just like the EL's)?
2. design pattern
3. colour scheme

it'd be nice to show at the next meet or at the cross meet on 7-25 with the g35's

Just want to know who else would be interested in the GTA area?

 

i have a vinyl machine, holla if u need someoen to make em

 

vinyl is plactic right???? what's the diff between what they usually use for stickers?

 

guys...i also knwo mike from shinzowerks whose work is all over a bunch of regular show cars in TO

he can make some nice stickers for us too

 

vinyl is what they use for stickers/graphic jobs/sponsors/thatwindshield thing

Kinda simple and not very imaginative or original, but how about:

T.O.T.L. or T.O.TL ?

Also, I know two local graphic designers who might be able to create something once an actual name is figured out.. but can't guarantee that since they are quite busy at the moment (and would probably want some sort of compensation)...

 

Getting someone to do it is not a problem.....I know someone that will do it at a good price.....I am thinking Club InspiredTL ......what do you guys think......T.O.TL is good too.

Instead of Club InspiredTL or whatever... why not just "Inspired"?

I remember when I first detailed my TL, someone said to me: "Wow -- you must've really been inspired!"....I sort of laughed cuz I immediately thought of AcuraInspired . com

Well, if you end up deciding on "inspired" as the club name, you might as well have someone manufacture a "d" for the inspire badging so you can mount it as: "INSPIRED" instead of "INSPIRE" :P

P.S. Do I win a prize (hmm...new car???) if my "inspired" suggestion for club name wins?? If a new car is not feasible, I'll gladly settle for an OEM body kit!!! ?? hehehe

 

I think we should all agree with the name first.....Inspired badging would be cool.....Good name though Street Spirit...I like it ...You have my Vote.

 

that's a great idea. Here are some of the names that I can think of:

Club TL
Toronto TL Club (TTC? haha)
Toronto TL Group
Ontario TL Club / Group
Canada TL Club / Group

I too think the vinyl is not the issue, there are lots of place to do it. We just need a name and a logo designed

 

if you guyz do it,can you guyz make ACURA-TL.COM sticker for extra.Unless someone might want that put it on to to representing our fourm ,same as ClubEL.ca did to them.

actually TL. T.O. soomething like that will sound good but "inspire" doesn't sound like a club from TO or GTA, is just the car model in japan. so i would not think inspire is good enough.

What about somethin' like T.O across the top, and an L under the T, and maybe the Acura logo in the bottom right corner...

We have the website...that we all adore and love......this will be a Enthusiast Community ....Meets, BBQ and generally a place where all car enthisiast can come and share their knowledge on cars and products...We all have freinds that can get us some links on products....A place to share that with other Enthusiast and place to meet freinds.

In the long run...thats kinda hard to say....where we might end up....The guys i have met on this forum have all turned out to be good people.....Tatewaki , ehcuraplus, Residual Freedom, TLS RULZ, Hobes, Derrick, jcheung,TobyTL are few of the good people i have met...Always willing to help and know their cars. Why not have a club that has all the good people.

this was just a wild thought gone good for me, no purpose was initially intended except for
1. for us to be noticed and to let the whole GTA know we're out there! *purpose*
2. for the good of ourselves not having to post threads like "Hey i saw a TL on the 400 with this and that and this" this way we'll know it was at least for a fact one of us and not a poser. benefits

this was well said! and that would be the best benefit of all! getting to know peeps who shares the same love for a TL. just think back, werent you shocked at the last meet? to see that many peeps come out and to see the salivating mouths of peeps passing by?
I dont know if you guys noticed it but the EL's with the CLUB/EL stickers just had a higher amount of pride than the rest of them!

GOALs?= i guess what i just said was the main goal.
Direction?= i cant say, keep in mind that this was an idea from just this past SUNDAY!

Main point is we're not looking for a ORGANIZED GROUP as of right now, lets first focus on a little CLUB. It's not like we aren't one now on this site! Let's just put it down on Labels to add a little more pride to our cars and to keep us INSPIRED!

2. Residual Freedom - I will check with a buddy in Japan and see if we can get the inspired badging shipped to us like a present/gift so we won't have to pay the customs... No guarntees, he is only an aquaintence.. I hve business partners that deal with Malasia and Japan so I might be ableto get an extra couple of boxes on the a plane back here.. we should findout how much the inspire badging will cost individuallym and then compare to the group buy we are trying to arrange..
