my god damn tls 2003 , is shifting hard and very oddly. it studders and the acceleration is not smooth at all.

i think i will be needing a god damn tranny change.

well i was wondering if they give you a rental car for this work?

cause last time i was there, they were very strict about loaners. it seems like they dont really give loaners out for any reason.

they should. I got my acura there at Stevens creek last year--when did you pick yours up?

My 2003 TL-S is at Stevens Creek right now getting a new tranny and computer. They gave me a TL-S w/ nav (mine doesn't have nav) for free (up to 100 miles a day).

They also said Acura was extending the transmission warranty to 100,000 miles.

I went to Stevens Creek Acura to fix my rattling moonroof and I got a RSX for a loaner. It was a POS but at least it was better than other rental cars that I have driven before.

I got my rotors turned (for free), moonroof squeak fixed, and steering wheel volume control replaced and I didn't get a loaner, but it was only in during the workday.

Well, I called in advance to make an appointment with them and I told the service rep that I need a loaner. He pretty much set everything up for me.

Next week I have an appointment with Los Gatos Acura to get the center arm rest and the rotors fixed. I think they only provide rental car, no acura.

Did your tranny completely fail on you or was it just acting weird? Cuz I just brought my car to stevens creek today to have the tranny checked and they said nothing was wrong. Ive gone through several trannies already so i kno what a bad one feels like so it pissed me off that they said it was fine.

mine was shifting hard (reving to 5-6k) and the engine light was on. Also, the VSA light would come on.

do you guys deal with a particular service rep there? usually, once you build a relationship with them they take care of you.

IrvTL.......same thing happened to me when I took my TLS in cause it was shifting a lil weird every once in a while. Then they said it was fine and nothing was wrong with it. So I told them that I want in WRITING that, if within the next 10,000 miles the tranny goes out, I hold your dealership fully responsible for any damage to my vechile or to me if I am to get into an accident. They told me they would call me back......not even 15 mins later they said they were going to change the tranny. Just tell them that you will hold them liable, most of the time, they don't want to be anymore liable then they have to me. good luck!

it take my TLS at sunvale acura, i do get a loaner couple time. I think the service prep will give about the loaner when ever it take more than 2 working days. My car have lot of problem with the roof and ratle noise. i got my new transmission affter 3 month i got the car.

i was just there getting my rightside headlight housing, HID bulb, and HID ballast all replaced free of charge...cos of moisture getting in the headlight housing...they got it all done in bout an hour...laters

In order to get a loaner, you need to get to the dealer like 7 am and b|tch hard. This is not Lexus, so loaners are on a first come, first serve basis.
