First off, the 3rd gen has to many "extra" buttons that serve no purpose on the 2nd gen. The radio controls, bluetooth....

You'd have to verify that the airbag connectors and controls are the same for both cars.

What might be cool is to swap both the steering wheel and the audio/navi systems from a 3rd gen. Then you'd be able to wire everything up to work.

 

knowing acura, it wouldn't work.

 

I also doubt that would work. Some say that the MDX wheel fits the TL. I don;t know how true that is or why one would want to do that.
