I don't know what up but my patience is wearing thin
I got the brakes and rotors done yesterday. Went back to the shop today and changed front rotors again. Still same issue. I called the shop mechanic tells me might be a hub issue. Dont want to keep spending money and the car still not right

ball joints and all suspension steering parts inspected?

make sure the hub is sanded clean of any rust where rotor slides over its lip, and it sits flat when done

bad caliper can cause major problems

speaking of brand new TLs, my local dealer still has a LATE model (like May 03) NBP 3.2TL Type-S has like 200 miles on it, plastic still on everything.

I was there like 3 months ago and they said the guy who ordered it bought it and when he saw the 3G that was just getting in he immediately paid sticker value for that instead. They tried to sell it then and they didn't get any biters and now it's just a little entertainment piece that sits in the BACK corner of the show room

pretty cool if you asked me, I asked what it would cost to buy it and they said it's not for sale...unless you wanted to pay close to sticker! haha not until I see some blue bolts on the the tranny!

Wheel bearings. Mine was shaking the wheel bearing humm and vibrated when I stopped at all speeds. Tories where new. Weeks old. Changed hub w/bearings and bada bing bass boom. No issue since. Not saying this is what yours has,but its what fixed mine.

always start with a real inspection of the brake pads- peeking thru the top slot of the caliper doesnt count as inspection- unless you can tell the center cut out section is gone = pads are below the 2MM minimum allowed thickness

remove the calipers and pads to see whats going on
A broken pad will cause major problems

Very Low pads cause the calipers to extend farther, the pads dont sit flat against the rotor, have almost no gripping surface friction = you get shake-n-brake

What about warped rotors? Isn't that a notorious issue with the TL's, warped rotors can cause wheel shake during breaking. If it was bearings, usually those make noise any time the car is moving, not just when breaking. Tho it depends on what part of the bearings are wore out.

Very true BTC, although in this occasion he has changed the rotors twice and has another set awaiting. Rotors recently replaced all around with brake pads.
Now was installation done properly although its simple hey who knows.

Previous post about caliper being lose. I also had this happen to me. dad got a whooping for this one for hes a master tech who got careless. It makes noise when goign over bumps. didnt give me a shake.

I was saying start with pad condition,,

then you would ck rotor runout/warpage, inspect hub where rotor fits for rust causing it to not sit flat
Wheel lug torque can affect the rotors too
tie rod ends bad can cause a shake too!

Hi guys,

I have a 2012 Acura TL with 90k+ files on it and I was having the exactly the same problem.
The steering wheel would shake while breaking at speeds higher of 65mph.

I changed the front rotors and pads, same problem.
I had the wheels balanced, same problem.

I then had the rear rotors turned and changed pads. lo and behold, the shake was gone!
Now my TL breaks like it was when brand new!

For some reason, the problem with the rear rotors was causing the front end to shake. How's this even possible? I don't know.

So, make sure you also look into the rear break system.
