Steering wheel shakes when braking

I've just noticed this today, but its been happening since the first day I bought the car.

When I am slowing down, for some strange reason, my steering wheel shakes, it kinda feels scary, its like it vibrates.

does anybody know what the problem could be?

This sentence means you bought the car today.

Are you slowing down by just lifting your foot off the acccelerator or by using the brakes, too?

This can only be one of 2 things.

Most of the time this means your car is possessed. So, you better find a priest ASAP.

Very rarely it means your front rotors are warped. Even though it's rare, this topic is discussed weekly right here on this very forum.

Probably your rotors are warped.

I was driving my friends 02 Accord back from a trip and he has the exact same problem.

Or like MikePA said "Possessed" OooOOooOOOooooo..........dotdotdotdot.

Just tell the guys at the garage that and you won't be dissapointed.

Either get the rotors "cut" or have new ones installed.

^^ I think he means, you probably need to have your rotors resurfaced. And yes, it does sound like you have warped rotors.

Oh and Mike that sentence doesn't necessarily mean he bought the car today. He said he has noticed the shaking ever since he had purchased the car. If you posting history, he's been here for a few weeks now

well guys, I did a search and it seems that ROTORA Slotted Rotors are the best way to go. I will also be buying the ROTORA H2 Ceramic Pads, but is it ok to just change the front rotors and pads, and keep the rear as OEM for a while?

and also, before I make the purchase, does anybody have some comments to make about Rotora Slotted Rotors?
