Post Steam Engine under my Hood???

Do any of you guys hear a steam engine like "puffing" sound coming from the left side of the engine compartment right next to the engine itself??? Not really loud, sounds like it is normal but just wanted to double check...Looking at the car from front to back, it's on the right side of the engine...

Too many puffs, you're messing up the rotation. It's puff puff give..

Don't want to scare you but maybe you have a leakage somewhere in the air intake system?? Loose hose or something?

i know what your talking about. wouldnt you say its more of a click than a puff?

the brake booster makes those noises everyonce and a while. ive heard it on pretty much all tl's

the valves might get louder than normal if you dont follow the service schedule

and finally, there is some of of vacuume relay that clicks, you can actually feel it click if you hold it

this is all on the air box side of the bay

all normal

Well, I had that sound (almost like a steam "puffing" sound, but drive next to a cement median barrier and you notice that it's really a click) in my Beretta a while back... come to find out, I'd sprouted a rear main seal leak and slowly lost oil, unwittingly. I added a quart and a half to get back up to full, and the sound went away. (Cleaned out my shorts and the smell went away too.) That's scary. I hope that's not it in your case.
