Steam cleaning.
Water and leather don't make a good match. Ever wear a leather jacket in the rain. It's one thing to wipe a damp cloth on leather but another to saturate it with water. It's hot water that really cleans not steam. Those steam cleaners just let you use hot water with out tons of it. Real steam is a gas and not visible. 'Steam' that you see is water particles formed by steam condensation. Plus the velocity of the steam gives it mechanical action just like rubbing it with a cloth.
They probably treat the leather in cars so it's possible it might work. Just test clean some leather under the back seat where you can't see it, that way if it screws with the leather you won't see it and will be hidden by to top cushion,

Thanx for the info. I just tried using the steam cleaner in my dads office and it sux. I took one of my mats out and tried it on it and no differ what so ever so tommorow its goin back.
