You have to pull the antenna, the recall is new. Just bring it in and have them tell you if its something they are gong to cover or what is wrong and what its going to cost you. This isnt like a 02 sensor that can easily be diagnosed and replaced.

airbag recall VINS are increasing every day- keep checking back and log on to your acura.com account and ck recalls section

another trick on the radio code is go to a covered parking lot-preferably get underground a few levels, cement type structure with lots of roof.
try the codes there, if that doesnt work unplug the radio antenna.
it should be by the corner of the center dash console where you can reach the connector

Do you mean the reel that the seatbelt retracts to?

Seatbelts are lifetime warranty.

I would ask the service MANAGER to call the acura warranty rep about some `goodwill`
- a major safety issue and you need the 1 part they dont cover on the special SRS extended warranty?!?
c'mon- help a student/family man/reason you are decent person and they should cut profit to help you

It cant hurt and may get it down to 200 or so-
Mention acurazine and how we goaded you into the dealer with tales of 99.99 precent chance its covered (per current acura service Managers on here),

especially tell Manager how much you would like to give them perfect 10s on the survey card-and will do the same on phone and email surveys too~

why do you think they wont work with you?--very high miles,, or you pissed of the manager at some past time...
or you only spoke with a service WRITER who exist soley to increase the estimate price!!

Surprising what a call to acura corp can do for you- 1-800-382 2238x5

maybe there is shared labor in the recall so you can save there?
184 is past 150- the stated srs limit anyway

hopefully the diagnosis is wrong--codes are CLUES not solutions, and the recall will fix everythig for you
Think positive!

Ask the Service MANAGER about the other part install- if its related labor IF needed.
Airbags and the steering wheel are not something for the intrained to mess with- for your own safety
