Guys my srs light is on tried shutting down the car but nothing wants to make it go away

 

if you havent done anything electrical to the car recently- get to the dealer.
you are on the edge of the 10 year SRS special extended warranty

 

thanks but i searched everywhere and i found that there is a 2000 acura tl srs reset, took me more than couple tries but as long as it worked.

 

if it comes back on, definitely get to the dealer. in the mean time

 

vman- as I tried to explain - there is a special 10 year/150kmile srs warranty

IF you have not done anything to the cars electrical recently-which can trigger a false srs light, ok to try the reset, but no real need~
time is wasting on that 10 year!!.. plan on a dealer visit

if you have done anything electrical- do the reset and if it comes back on - to dealer for repairs

srs light on means airbags are turned off

 

well i was installing ( i know you will say ricer but footwell neons ) but i accidentally touch the srs plug which probaly made it go off in the first place

 

guys unrelated but i was trying to run a wire by the steering rod (under the dash) but does that pole or rod does it get hot?

 

the steering shaft should not get hot
test it after a normal drive~

info like-- you just installed some electrical stuff- touched a wire and now srs light is ON...thats really helpful to know in first post for sending you direct to the DIY reset procedure for a fix
