Hi everybody... my SRS light came on couple of weeks ago. The side airbag light comes on and goes back & forth. I had a mechanic check it today, on the computer and it said DRIVER'S SIDE AIRBAG. He than took this yellow plug under the driver’s side, put it back in. Still the SRS light was on. HELP!!!

and intermittant side airbag light- related to passenger moving aroung in seat?
There is a sensor that requires the passenger to sit upright in seat.
Also any objects on pass seat like laptop or KFC bucket will set off the side airbag light

My SRS light came on too. Called the dealer and they had me bring it in right away and gave me a 06 TSX loaner with 2000 miles on it.
They did say they would charge me $105 to fix IF the problem was not the OBDS new warranty issue. I did not have much choice, so I said okay.
The problem turned out to be a sensor in the seatbelt. They have a LIFETIME WARRANTY, so NO CHARGE!!!
Hope this helps and the rest of you with this problem get lucky too.

I have 2000 TL and the mileage was 80K. The service rep said there was no expiration on the the warranty work.
Just to be sure, call the service desk and ask them about the seat belt sensor and the SRS light. If they do not tell you much say you thought there was a service bulletin on the subject. Be firm but polite. Good luck! Let us know how it goes.

it sounds like the first mechanic you took it to, tried to reset the SRS light.

If your SRS light comes on there may failure of the sensor- which is covered on a special 150 k miles/10 year waranty
Call Acura immediatly at 1-800-382-2238 X 5 and register your car by VIN- ask about seat belt and SRS sensor warranty, if they say symtoms are right- get to dealer for free warranty repair of a few very important safety parts!!!

By calling Acura at 1-800-382-2238 x 5 from 6am to 5 pm m-f pacific time
Have you VIN number in hand
tell them the SRS light is acting up- they will verify you have the right VIN for the sensor prob and tell you to take it in
The dealer replaces bad part and you are on your way
10 year 150k miles warranty on that part

Or do an internet search for `how to reset SRS light + acura TL
If you did anything at all with electrical then it came on, reset and see
If it came on for no reason- CALL FOR APPOINTMENT AT THE DEALER IF UNDER 10 YEARS 150 KMILES
