I did a search for it but nothing came up ..just incase there was a thread about this already...OK

Yesterday while driving my 02 TL Type-S, I noticed my SRS light is on and won't go off. I don't have the book therefore I don't really know what it is.I am planning on bringing the car to the dealer but wanted to know if anyone knows what could be the problem or how to go by fixing it...

It means your airbags won't deploy if you get in an accident. I left my sunroof open one night and it happened to rain My SRS light has been on ever since. There are sensor pads under the front seats. Apparently if they get wet, they are ruined and costs $700+ to fix. Needless to say, my SRS light has been on since.

 

you could reset it yourself, but then again, that won't fix the problem (or you won't find out what caused it)....


if you're under warrenty then yeah, have it checked out and fix it.


if you're not under warrenty, there's a chance it could be the seatbelt thingymajig. where they replace it for free no matter what. (a few members have had this problem)

 

my srs light came on about 3 times in the one and a half years i had my car so far. each time i brought it to the dealer they told me it was a different problem and one was a recall. so if ur still under warranty u should be good. if not, see if its a recall.....u can check out for all ur recall on acura.com. ur gunna have to register .
