hi, i think my timing belt is squeeking. what can i do? my warranty ends this month:o

when i check the history report for a car through carfax they have a section for recalls. ive checked for honda you can try this number and see if they have the number for acura.

im sure they can tell you the acura number or maybe they can help you. First ask them since you have an acura can they still help you knowing your car is still honda. im sure they can. ask them if your acura still has recalls that require repair. see what happens

are you sure its not one of your other belts? they are all on the same side of the engine. i kinda doubt it is the timing belt.

 

you can tell if it is one of the other belts by running the engine and spraying a little water on them. If it gets quiet, then it is one of the outside belts. The timing belt is enclosed (im tending to think its not this)

 

there is belt dressing you can spray on them to quiet them

before doing that though check to make sure they aren't cracked or need to be replaced...40k is pretty low, but u never know
