squeaks
Hey guys I need your help!!! I have a couple of squeaks in my car and I know one is the seat because I have the 99TL and have read about the seat problem. The second squeak is coming from the sunroof somewhere. It only happens when I have the sunshade on the sunroof slid back in the open poison so I can see through the sunroof. Does anyone know how to fix this?
seat is tough one to fix - good luck, i have it too. lithium grease worked OK for a while, applied to the hinge.
the sunroof is easy to fix - rub armour all or similar stuff around the rubber weather strip that surrponds the sunroof. you'll have to open it and tilt it to get all the rubber. this works very well and lasts at least a couple of months.

The seat squeaks mybe coming from the fact that the lumbar lever is rubbing against the middle console lid. Try to place a tissue in between the lever and the leather lid, see if that will get rid of the squeaks. That is what I did and the noise is gone. I'm thinking about removing the lumbar lever itself now.
