Squeaking when coasting??

Hey all,

Recently, when I coast at low speeds, windows down, I can hear a rhythmic squeaking sound, esp when I'm driving next to a wall to reflect the sound back at me. When I brake, the sound goes away. Think there's something wrong with my calipers or pads? Any clue would be much appreciated...

That same thing happened to me in recent days. It was on my 1st gen TL, but it's the same. Eventually the squeaking got so loud and unbearable (and the rotor was EXTREMELY HOT!), and i found out my driver's side rear brake was out of pad. I had to get new pads and my rotors resurfaced ($215 total canadian)
That was for my rear brakes

Hmmm.. I had just gotten a 90,000 mi service with brake fluid flush. Maybe something was reinstalled wrong.

They just inspect things at those service intervals not fix them. I'm surprised they didn't tell you about it, assuming they even looked while rotating the tires.

Same thing has happened to me. I bought my 99 TL with 33K six months ago. I cheched the vehicle history and the previous owner had the rotors resurfaced twice so I thought they got so thin they became uneven under high temperature. Got new rotors from Rotora (slotted rear) put them on myself but there is still an area of the rotor that rubs up against the pad. I did not know what to di so I left it that way. The soung got away when driving bot now 7K miles later it's coming back. Does Anyone else experienced such a thing? I dont know if Wheel bearings will fix the issue. I cand just replase things guessing. I will have my car in for 45K service soon but dealers sometimes know less than us. Could anyone help with Ideas or experience?
