Squeaking from sways
I know there's been a past posting about this but I can't seem to find it....
I've had my comptech sway bars in for a while and there hasn't been any noise coming from them...but recently they've been squeaking.... I used all the tape to wrap the rears sways.. yet that's where its coming from... any ideas???

Umm..the easiest thing to do is just spray lube them again when they squeak...the harder way, but the better way...is to remove the sways...and then relube the bushings with LOTS OF SILICONE LUBE.

You need to look and see if there are any marks on the sways. If you see them, then your sway is rubbing against something while you're driving. I had noise come in from my rear sways and there were huge scratch marks where it was rubbing against another piece of metal (maybe the mechanic didn't install them correctly?).
With a little help from a grinder, the problem was solved.

First, try the lube. If it isn't that, re-tighten the end links that use the 5mm hex inside. If it isn't that, I'd check your rubber insulaters that should be wrapped around your next to lowest coil on the rear springs -- if you have lowering springs. Mine used to bind alittle and squeak, even on the fronts where I had to insulate the upper portion. Hope this helps.
