Question squeaking noise

my TL makes a squeaking noise when I drive really slow, like metal rubbing against metal. its not very loud, and stops when I accelerate to a higher speed. what is this noise? thanks!

Could be that your brake pads are worn out and the wear indicator tabs are scratching the rotors.

This is most likely the cause. When you step on the brake and release it does the sound go away?

no i'm pretty sure its not the brake pads, as it squeaks at low speeds no matter if i apply the brakes or not.

u got aftermarket coilovers? it could be seepage from the shock...google it and learn more..i have the same prob now...when its cold it makes the sqeek more and worse, when warm weather, goes away

yea but understand that on new vehicles the brakes "wear indicators" are designed to squeak when you are not applying the brakes.
