Question Springs? H&R, Comptech or Eibach????????

Hey guys, bear with me, I just bought my car brand spanking new 1 week ago and I am trying to get all of my ducks in a row. Which brand do you prefer and why? I know majority has Comptechs but my main concern is ride quality. Is there a big difference in ride quality with the Comptech springs? Thanks again,,,,

Ride qaulity is almost all the same. Once you get new shocks in, it will be a lot harder. Assuming that you want shocks.

The H&R springs will give you a level drop and are offered in three different sizes. Comptechs will drop more in the front, than the rear. Not sure about Eibach, but Comptech designed their springs for the TL with the TL in mind, the others were just made to fit.

I think it's 1.5 front, .75-1.00 back.

Mine are going on with sways this month. So are Acura3200's.

I have H&R OE springs... the ride is great. but sometimes I feel I should've gone lower. But that's alright... I haul lots of ppl usually. If I had gone lower, it'd been really hard to drive.

I'm using the H&R 1.75 fr 1.5rr and I think the ride's fine. As with all lowered cars you need to be careful around dips, bump, etc. Even with the stock rims and high 60 profile tires..lol this setup still looks pretty clean and nice. I also felt the car accelerated a little faster, but according to my mechanic friend, he said it was only cuz the sensations have been increased due to stiffer suspension, what a bummer..lol

I'd like to have Comptech's someday, but I can't stand that stupid raked look. It looks like a bad lowering job to me. I like Eibach quality, and the level drop, but the TL looks pretty slammed even with the Pro-Kits. There's a parking garage that I sometimes drive to for Dr's appointments, where the incline to enter is so steep, that the TL practically scrapes with the stock suspension... Makes it more difficult to decide..

just so you know the eibachs have rake too they were made for the accord at 1.5 but it seems on the tl you get 1.7 /1.8 front and 1.5 rear the koni shocks allow height adj up or down so if you upgraded to those you could have your choice of springs and level ride like having your cake and eating it too

I am installing my H&R OE springs on Sunday. I will let you guys know what the difference is and how much the inital drop is before settle.

I chose the H&R springs because all the other springs had too much of a drop. I can only drop my car around an inch because my driveway is too high. Also another reason is because my GF got it for me without me knowing it. I guess she remebered that I wanted somehow.

I'll keep you posted.

Very true. The Eibach springs I have seen on the TL just don't have that much of a noticable rake to them.

My 92 Accord has Eibachs, and it has no rake at all. Mybe rake is put in just in case you have to carry a load of bricks in the truck or something??

i have H&R 1.75 front 1.5 rear

It's the best of my mods. Looks 10000 times better. If I had gone with less of a drop I would've regretted it. The H&Rs are perfect.
