Looking at going with just Comptech springs
for now, or maybe spending the extra ~$500
on coilovers. What do ya'll think? (I can
say ya'll cause I live in Texas.. Ha ha)
Anybody have any experince with the Apexi
coilovers?

I would recommend the Apexi Coilovers. Because if you buy the Comptech springs, you will need to purchase shocks also. Add the two up and it will cost as much as a coilover. But you will NOT be able to adjust it. With a true coilover system like the Apexi, you CAN adjust the height whenever you want to. I have the Apexi Coilovers on my TL with a 3" drop. I needed the adjustment capability because I live in NJ and the winters are pretty bad here. And I can slammed it if I decided to put it in a show.
BTW, I was surprised to feel that the ride was pretty close to stock. I was expecting some rough ride but it was pretty smooth. But you can feel most of the bumps on the road now. It isn't that bad but now you can take a corner going 90 mph (j/k). Seriously though, the handling is WAY better than before. So I believe the trade-off is well worth it. Hope this helps you.

Thanks BS (BlackShadow)...
So many TL'ers are REALLY happy with just
the springs. I'm not interested in a 3"
drop either. Just want to improve looks
but more importantly, handling. Just don't
want to do springs now, and in a year or so,
have to replace shocks. Another option I suppose is do springs with like new KONI shocks. About the same cost as coilovers.
