Sprayed TB BIG Difference!

I got some TB & Air Intake cleaner and took off my intake hose, turned car on and sprayed TB butterfly while revving engine by pulling the TB cables. It worked awesome. What a difference! My car idles much quieter and smoother, accelerates faster, throttle response is awesome and the sound! The sound it like my car had a stuffed up nose and I didn't know it. Know it's louder, meaner and more aggressive. Everyone should clean their TB if there car has high mileage. I have 107k and now it runs like new!

sounds great!!

you have pics and any specific instructions for this? i would love to do this also (since i also have a 99TL), and i dont want to mess anything up.

i want to know exactly where im supposed to spray that in and whatever a throttle body butterfly is..

i kinda know what youre talking about when you say you sprayed while pulling on the tb cables, but exactly where am i gonna be shooting the stuff into??

word.

i've searched and there are a few DIY's around, some are not in detailed, and some are lost.... so let's get one out now. i want to do this too, from reading the threads they say it's easy, but i got lost in reading one of the informal DIYs so it can't be that easy..

When I had my 94' Talon I used to clamp the TB open with a pair of Vise Grips (loosley). Then I would spray the inside with carb cleaner and also scrub at it with a toothbrush (man that crap tasted nasty afterwords). Hit all the areas where the butterfly touches the bore of the TB, then spray the hell out of the outside to make sure all the linkage is working freely.

YES, THIS IS ALL DOEN WITH THE CAR OFF!!

When you go to start the car afterwards it will probably take more than the usual one crank to fire it up and run a little rough for a minute or so till the cleaner gets burned out of the cylinders. But it will fire and run better.

Side note: Don't get carb cleaner on your <$100 Nike shoes, it'll eat right through the top vinyl coating.

You lost me already.

Any one like to take a shot with a clear, easy to follow DIY with pics?
