Is there an indicator on the dash to let you know what gear you're in when using Sportshift? The competitors (BMW, Audi) seem to do so, so I would think it does, but I can't find it mentioned and don't recall from when I rode in one.

 

Yes, there is a digital display in the tach

 

I believe the trick is that the 7-segment LED stays completely off unless sportshift is engaged. When you pop the stick over into the sportshift register, the LED lights up with the current gear.

 

Yes, just push the stick to the SporShift mode and there you go!!
