i was just wondering how to use the sports shift?i mean i read in the manual and it didnt give me any real solid instructuons. i tried using it a few times today and basically i know that it goes thru 1 and 2 for u and i know when to shift im just confused on downshifting etc. do u even have to downshift cuz ill upshift to like 4 and stay in that and when i brake it goes down for me? thanks for the help!

I know that as we increase the RPM we get more power BUT we must never go the red zone. Usually on 3rd for me is where i like to be when i pass people but not too sure as for the most efficient way.

so what do wou really want to know? SS mode is for holding a specific gear, downshifting, its baisicly kinda like a manual (once out of first) it wont change gears for you (unless coming to a stop and you dont downshift) its meant for spirited driving, something whith curves and stuff so you can hold one gear instead of the tranny constantly searching

as far as downshifting goes, the car does it for you. but if ur on the highway and your cruisin and all of a sudden you want to pass sum1 quick. you throw it in SS. most likely you will be in 5th gear. u downshift to 3rd(speed permitting) and floor the bitch. once you get to like 80-85 u will start to redline so throw it into 4th. i love third gear. its real strong. throws you back into ur seats and i only have a tl-p

 

Don't love it too much. Excessive use will cause you to limp home.
