When im driving the car in SS, it tends to jurk a bite when im in second gear..
i was wondering when its the best to switch gears from second to third and then to forth.

Well... first of all, did you hit the rev limiter?

If you didn't, maybe you have some problem with your tranny... I got some problems with my tranny...

Glad to see another TL bro in Toronto...

Yeah, you have to shift just past the redline before the fuel cut-off kicks in.

if you have a 2000 or 2001, the tranny automatically shifts from 1st to second and then allows you to shift up from there. I am wondering if that might be the jerk you feel?

Like a manual car, if your in second gear and you give it a little gas, it will tend to jerk around a little more than when your in full auto, because the small gears are more torquey than the higher gears, its totally natural unless you have a realllllll jerky transmission, other than that if its just a bit more noticeably jerkier than full auto its totally normal.
