Spoiler Torsion Springs

Ok, well as many of you know, I am trying to see if I can arrange a group order for factory replica spoilers in the For Sale section. Good Price so check it out.

But here is what my question is, I know that the aftermarket spoilers dont come with the torsion springs and I spoke to Ron, the guy who sells the spoilers and he told me that what he does is with our factory torsion bars/springs he adjusts it with a tool to one more notch that tightens the spring to take care of the added weight of the spoiler. This seems to be a simple fix to the problem, not 100% but he said 75% better than normal. Does ne one know what he's talking about? I sure as well dont.

Also, he said that he will see if he can a special deal on the torsion springs through his connection with an Acura Dealer up in Canada. But if I dont have to buy the torsion springs then I wont if what he's telling me is possible?

Look where the bars are held in place ... you'll see a grove where they are sitting in, and another grove that you can move them to. I think the plastic hold in the center has groves that you can adjust the bars to aswell. I don't remeber if I saw the instructions in the DYI section of this forum or in the manual.

Mine are set that the higher setting but it does not help much with my spoiler. Gonna have the dealer fix it next time I go in.

I tried it & didn't work b/c the OEM bars are thinner than the heavy duty bars

Yeah if I don't have to, I rather save the extra money and take a few bumps on my head lol If it is just a matter of $50 overall, I don't think it is that bad.
