Spoiler for an '03 TL-P

I am thinking of installing a rear spoiler on my '03 TL and would like some advice.

I have seen these selling on eBay for around $190 painted. Can you recommend a good vendor to buy from?

Also, how difficult is it to install one of these. I am reasonably well inclined mechanically (but not an expert).

Thanks for any ideas and info!

It's fairly easy to do. Just make sure you take your time and align things up correctly. I would get the OEM spoiler since the material of construction is better. Try not to buy it directly from the dealer though since they'll rip you off. Other than that, go for it.

Nevermind overpaying at the dealer. I bought mine from sportwing.com. it was actually being sold through an ebay auction but i called them and spoke to them directly. The spoiler is flawless in appearance, and they matched the paint perfectly, without a single spec of dust, drips etc.... plus the price was $175 plus $25 for shipping. I was totally satisfied with their product and i am usually a stickler for details. If i was impressed, you will be too. (btw, the only way to tell the difference between sportwing's spoiler and the Acura factory one is to look underneath it, in the middle by the 3rd brakelight. The factory one has "acura" stamped on it).

I bought one from ebay and you cant tell the difference. Installing it is easy. The TL has two small paint bumps on the underside of the trunk on each side - total of four for 4 screws. This is where you drill the holes. You should also get some touch-up paint to touch up the spots where you drilled. Even though you wont see them after the spoiler is on, you should still touch it up to prevent rusting. Basically, all you need is a drill and a metal driving bit - I THINK it's 3/8" but am not sure. Drill right on the four bumps and the spoiler WILL fit, assuming it is an oem or a factory style. Mine is factory style and it fit beautifully.

in addition to using touch up paint in and around the 4 holes you drill, its also a good idea to squirt a dab of silicone sealer into each hole. It will spread out when you tighten the screws and add an extra layer of rust protection.
